An Adapted Urban-Rural Territorial Typology for NUTS 2 regions

This repository holds the adapted urban-rural territorial typology at the NUTS 2 level, which is described in Region, and the associated Python scripts used to produce the dataset. The typology is provided as a CSV and a GeoPackage file. The GeoPackage file is in the ETRS89-extended /Lambers Equal Area Europe (EPSG:3035) coordinate reference system.

This dataset is an extension of the Complete Mobi-Twin dataset produced during the Mobi-Twin project. The Complete Mobi-Twin dataset contains data on several forms of human mobility across Europe on the NUTS 2 regional level, a curated set of regional characteristics relevant to the green and digital transitions, a large-scale survey on mobility decisions, a curated set of input data for microsimulations on regional mobility, and finally spatial layers that enable interlinking all datasets.
