# Organological databases and repositories: source study and structural atlas

Read `study.pdf` for the method, critical discussion, 61 annotated catalogue entries and references. `study.md` contains the same text in an editable format. The catalogue covers the fixed Aggregator selection frame: 53 registered keys, five subordinate score collections and three audit-only resources. These are not 61 independent databases, and the selection is not a census of organological resources worldwide.

`source_catalogue.json` preserves the descriptive accounts with stable catalogue and source keys. It separates source descriptions, selected-document observations, interpretations and rights observations. `references.csl.json`, `references.bib` and `references.ris` are equivalent bibliographic exports. `evidence.json` contains the cited access observations and the precise selection frame. Evidence IDs join those files; catalogue keys identify entries, not necessarily physical instruments.

Portal-level observations are dated 10 September 2026; selected-document observations are dated 11 September, local time in Europe/Berlin. UTC timestamps in request receipts may fall on the preceding day. Historical repository locators identify the selection frame, not source accuracy. Response hashes identify inspected bytes but cannot reconstruct an archived page. The public documents themselves were not deposited.

The former feature matrix and inferred schema crosswalks are excluded. Defensible observations have been retained in the source accounts without feature scores or source-wide absence claims. Benchmark case inventories and operational validation outputs are also excluded. The study reports no independently measured extraction accuracy, feature prevalence or corpus completeness. Its use of AI assistance and lack of independent peer review are disclosed in the method.

The companion `source_atlas.pdf` supplies 61 source chapters with a common eight-part structure: identity and scope; native contents; discovery; extraction and normalization; dates and relationships; preservation and loss; implementation evidence; research use, citation and rights. It expands the technical analysis without reinstating the withdrawn feature matrix. `source_atlas.md` is its editable text. `source_atlas.json` preserves the same source accounts and editorial readings, effective registered-class inventories, inspected expressions and bounded code passages, with the pinned revision, hashes and line locators. Shared helper modules are indexed separately. `source_atlas_references.csl.json` is the atlas bibliography; its IDs match the atlas footnotes and reuse the study's IDs where relevant.

The atlas is dated 11 September 2026. It covers all 53 registered keys, the five score collections and the three audit-only entries. It distinguishes the 24 successful selected-document observations from three unsuccessful detail checks; entries without an inspected detail document retain that gap. Code inspection is not a fresh crawl, a complete upstream schema reconstruction, or independent validation of extraction accuracy. The tested pinned repository link was not publicly accessible; the deposited expressions and passages support bounded inspection but are not a full executable reproduction package. Neither a native source field nor a final JSON path is inferred merely from an occurrence of a dictionary key.

To cite an atlas finding, add *Source structure and extraction atlas*, catalogue ID and subsection to the compilation citation below; use the JSON locator when citing an implementation rule. The existing study and its 111-reference bibliography remain unchanged. The atlas has its own extended bibliography.

`CITATION.cff` supplies the compilation citation. `LICENSE.txt` defines the scope of the CC0 dedication. `SHA256SUMS.txt` covers every other deposited file. Checksums test file identity, not scientific truth.
