BLAST ortholog analysis of sucrose, glucose transport, and glucose-repression pathway genes in M. pulcherrima APC 1.2
Description
This dataset contains raw BLAST output, constructed results tables, and custom Python scripts supporting the comparative genomic analysis of sucrose/maltose/isomaltose metabolism, glucose transport and sensing, and glucose-repression signaling pathway genes between Saccharomyces cerevisiae S288C (RefSeq assembly GCF_000146045.2) and Metschnikowia aff. pulcherrima strain APC 1.2 (GenBank assembly GCA_004217705.1).
For each of 40 candidate S. cerevisiae genes, forward BLASTP searches were performed against the M. pulcherrima predicted proteome (NCBI BLAST+ v2.17.0), followed by reciprocal BLASTP searches to validate orthology. Query and subject sequence coverage were calculated from raw alignment coordinates. Results are provided both as raw tabular BLAST output and as processed summary tables reporting the top hit and up to two additional hits per gene, together with percent identity, coverage, bit score, and reciprocal-BLAST confirmation status.
