NFDI4ING Fiona Summer School "Driving RDM": 7. Metadata

NFDI4ING is the National Research Data Infrastructure for the Engineering Sciences.

To educate Research Data Management (RDM), NFDI4ING's archetype Fiona conducts a summer school as practice-oriented training. Following the slogan "Driving RDM", a small-scale data-driven engineering experiment is conducted to theoretically learn and practically apply RDM. Clamping blocks, gears and measurement technology in your pocket are leveraged.

This publication record contains the Metadata module, introducing different types of metadata, metadata standards, schemas, and controlled vocabularies. The accompanying exercises focus on documenting experimental research data, applying the EngMeta schema, and creating README and CITATION.cff files to support data discovery, interpretation, and reuse.
