A Techno-economic Dataset for Climate, Land, Energy, Water, Waste, and Industry for all Sectoral Emissions (CLEWISE) modelling in Ghana
Authors/Creators
Description
This dataset supports integrated modelling of Ghana’s Climate, Land, Energy, Water, Waste, and Industry for all Sectoral Emissions (CLEWISE) and informed the design of the country’s Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy. It covers installed energy capacities, resource potentials, historical and projected electricity production and consumption, crop yields, agricultural and non-agricultural land use, water use, waste data, industrial processes, capacity factors, and techno-economic parameters including capital, fixed and variable costs. The data were compiled from national institutions through stakeholder engagement, international organisations and peer-reviewed literature, and are organised in a single Excel workbook. Built for the open-source OSeMOSYS modelling framework and its graphical interface, the dataset follows the U4RIA principles (Ubuntu, Retrievability, Repeatability, Reconstructability, Interoperability and Auditability) and can be adapted to other modelling frameworks.
